• 2 Cups sugar
  • 1 Cup butter (melted)
  • 4 eggs
  • 6 ripe bananas (peel should be more brown than yellow)
  • ½ cup water
  • 3 1/3 cups flour
  • 2 tsp Baking soda
  • ½ tsp Baking powder
  • ¼ tsp sea salt



This is a 24 year old favorite of mine. I love banana bread. I actully love most breads :-)

This is one of the first breads I made and I still make it all the time for me and my friends.

it is a great breakfast food and it is fabulous served warm with some butter or cream cheese.

Banana Bread

 

Preheat oven to 350

Grease 2 bread pans

Beat sugar, butter and eggs together until well blended

Add bananas and water and beat till blended

Fold in baking soda and baking powder

Slowly beat in flour until it has all been added

Pour mixture evenly into 2 well greased bread pans

Bake at 350 for 1 hour 10 minutes or until knife inserted in middle comes out clean

*you can add 1 cup chopped nuts or 1 cup chocolate chips if you like (I like to add the chocolate chips)
